Brian: How should I describe the impact of this patch in the NEWS or ChangeLog?
http://tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs/changeset/4272/ I don't understand backup well enough to know if this meant it would generate a new Tahoe-LAFS directory for every directory on every backup, or if it would do so only in some special case involving metadata or other conditions.
