Hi, in the devel branch, we've recently upgraded the kernel to sid's 3.8.x. In my understanding, this kernel will disappear from there once 3.9.4-1 successfully builds on enough release architectures, so we have two options: either we "freeze" preemptively our devel branch to use 3.8.x, or we pick the newer 3.9.4-1.
I propose we pick the slightly newer 3.9.4-1, to get even better hardware support, to avoid spending time importing the 3.8.x packages into our APT repository... and to get the Yama LSM, which implements todo/restrict_access_to_ptrace. So, please review'n'merge feature/linux-3.9. Candidate for Tails 0.19, in experimental since the beginning of the week. Here's what I have successfully (manually) tested: - boot from virtual DVD - boot from USB on bare metal - clone & upgrade from DVD - clone & install from USB - setup persistence - delete persistent volume - read-write persistence - read-only persistence - emergency shutdown when running from USB Cheers, -- intrigeri | GnuPG key @ https://gaffer.ptitcanardnoir.org/intrigeri/intrigeri.asc | OTR fingerprint @ https://gaffer.ptitcanardnoir.org/intrigeri/otr.asc _______________________________________________ tails-dev mailing list tails-dev@boum.org https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-dev
