We have very little knowledge about Apple hardware since we don't owe such devices ourselves. But we know that in general is it quite hard to get Tails to work on Apple hardware. We know it is not possible to start Tails from USB if your Mac starts using UEFI. The manual installation might work otherwise, but you might check the list of compatible hardware there: https://tails.boum.org/doc/first_steps/manual_usb_installation/mac/#index1h1 You can also help testing the ISO with preliminary UEFI support.
