You wrote, "I'd like to start an overdue discussion on how we can bring TAILS to smartphone or tablet hardware in a usable way.” That’s way over my head :) but I can help with building and testing a Chromebook-based ARM port of TAILS. I’ve refined the process of generating an ArchLinux-based external (USB/MMC) distro, to the point where it’s a one-line command (a call to ‘wget’, followed by a call to bash). I would like to do the same for TAILS, so that a newbie with a Chromebook can plug in a thumb drive or memory card, open a shell, type two commands, and get a TAILS distro in an hour or so. I don’t know whether people would prefer a script that generates the TAILS image, or a downloadable TAILS image itself, or both… Then again, is the ARM-based Chromebook a significant platform (by which I mean, one worth supporting)? In any case, it sounds like a lot of fun. -Hugo _______________________________________________ Tails-support mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-support
