Hi, I have someone telling me that TAILS won’t boot from a USB drive, unless these three files are replace (initrd.gz, ldlinux.sys, mbr.bin). That doesn’t make any sense to me.
I’m fairly sure this is an attack. Can you let me know if TAILS boots just fine without replacing these files? Thanks! /assets/root_folder/OSes/ initrd.gz ldlinux.sys mbr.bin To boot Tails Os from usbdrive we need only mbr.bin and syslinux, Yeah i am not using initrd.gz and ldlinux.sys, And i am not using that mbr.bin files from our repo, Instead to that ; i downloaded official syslinux from direct source file and use mbr.bin from that source. And for syslinux; I am usingsyslinux-mac This is modified syslinux, Specially made for mac os by the creator of unetbootin, His name is Geza Kovacs. Official syslinux need some kind of C language knowledge and how to use "make" utility and i am not very efficient in that, So i use ready-made syslinux created by well known person.
