Uh ... never mind. I failed to create the usb install correctly. Problem
solved. When all else fails, read the instructions. Thanks.

My hardware requires an Atheros alx network driver. I am trying to run
Tails 1.0.1 off usb. At bootup all I get are a couple of immediate
attempts to make a DHCP connection. The attempts fail and I end up
with a message to reboot or insert a system disk. I know the alx
driver is supported in ubuntu 14.04 and Linux Mint 17 but was not
supported in ubuntu 12.04 or linux Mint 13. I had to manually install
the driver with those releases. My question is .... how do I install
the alx driver. I can't get past to DHCP check at bootup to do anything.
