Hi,
Yesterday 23rd of July I've Tried to upgrade Tails from 1.0.1 to Tails 1.1 . I
had to download manually (as I usually do every time) the new version and
installing in my USB stick. Unfortunately doesn't work. Tails doesn't start at
all; the error message that it shows me is:
'SYSLINUX 4.06 EDD 2012-10-23 Copyright (C) 1994-2012 H. Peter Anvin et al
ifcpu64.c32: not a COM32R image'
I've never have had problems like this before and I've been used the same USB
stick for all the previous version of Tails without any problems.
My computer is an acer extensa 5230E Notebook (its old I know!!). My USB stick
is a SandDisk Cruzer Micro 4.0GB. I've installed manually Tails 1.1 - before I
downloaded the iso image from the site, then I switched in my windows 7 OS
using (as I normally do) for installing the universal-usb installer 1.9.3.1. At
this time I can't check if it works in other computers but as I said this is
the very first time is happening somethig like this. So, before putting my
hands on the bios with more than probable making some irreversable damage !?
I'm sendin you this mail.....maybe you know better than me what's happening. I
really hope I can fix this....it seems that something bad happened
thanks in advance!
