I have been trying to download the new Tails the past week. IPv4 doesn't seem to be working correctly and the tracker times out with IPv6. error(s):[19:16:02] Problem connecting to tracker - timeout exceeded
I sent an email to contact (a) GRESILLE (dot) org four days ago and no response. Can we setup an alternative tracker? Should I file a bug report? I know it isn't a good idea to use torrents over tor. Pperhaps that is the reason torproject,org doesn't seem to have a torrent tracker as they don't want to encourage it inadvertently. Why doesn't torproject.org distribute the TBB and Tails with torrents? I was thinking about setting up a tracker, but it would be better for torproject.org to host it... My requirements would include the following: DNSSEC signed domain. Not an open tracker, only serve legal torrents like Tails, TBB and other tor related packages. And my last requirement will be subject to change once I find someone/someplace willing to donate a VPS. Use a cheap VPS on digitalocean and limit upload speed to 400KB a second to limit the expense to $5 a month. Wishlist requirement: SSL enabled tracker with valid SSL certificate. The current torrent file contains two files, the iso and the gpg sig. In the past it contained some other files, sorry I don't rememebr what now. It might be nice to include some documentaion and other files. What would you suggest? If we do setup an alternative tracker, I would like to know what others might require.
