Hi Ben,
i use the TrekStor USB-Stick 8 GB and it works fine, you can switch on and off manually the hardware there whether it is writeable or not.
Best regards,
Knut

Betreff: [Tails-support] Cant get persisteinent volume working - creates a non-bootable USB
i am able to boot and run tails from USB if i use the Universal USB installer.. but then when i run the tails installer from inside tails, in order to create a persistent volume, it seems to lead me through all the steps successfully, but then upon rebooting from my newly created USB stick it says it is not a bootable medium. i have tried this with 4 different USB sticks now, including the one that i was able to boot tails with fro the universal installer. is there something else i can try in order to get persistent volume working please?
