I was looking in the acer coummunity web ste and it seems many people were having difficulty with the BIOS so since acer were not responsive a suggestion to downgrade was made so this was done following a howto and now tails works fine. i did try to creste a persistance volume but have not come to grips with it at the moment as the message i get is tails did not creste /dev/sdb. thanks to all who offered support tim
