Hello, What type of security is put in Tails to stop kernel level exploits, if any? Also, earlier in March, I sent an email to this list talking about how some DPI boxes were blocking any of the obfuscated transports. I recommended that Tails install FTEproxy or Meek. What is the progress on this? Just so the Tails developers know, this is how I think Cyberoam is blocking OBFSproxy. Cyberoam sees a flow of random data. In the past, it would just let it go through. Now, it checks to see how random it is. If it gets to a certain level of randomness (Not sure how much that is, but probably a lot), it gets classified as Tor and then dropped if a Tor blocking policy has been set. I asked Cyberoam support if they had updated their DPI engine to block transports, and they said yes. Also, FTE and Meek still work, so I’m certain that putting those transports into Tails is a good idea. Thanks for all the work you guys do. It means a lot. Justin. _______________________________________________ tails-support mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-support To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to [email protected].
