several macs
trekstor surface twin range
ASUS X205TA
....
the vast majority of cherry trail and bay trail machines are 32 bit uefi
apparently bootia32.efi hands over to 64 bit processors
Also debian notes on https://wiki.debian.org/UEFI section 64-bit system with
32-bit UEFI
Since allmighty M$ allegedly made M$10 to 64 bit os install on 32 bit uefi,
manufacturers in the budget segment continue and will continue to produce such
machines. it gives them an edge to keep users low powered windows into repeat
buying cheap machines as windoze clutters and slows fast, and these machines
are more difficult to run linux out of the box. to my knowledge only debian
multiarch currently gives some relatively easy options. ubuntu and family does
not, i dont try with other linuxes, for now.
thing is, when you buy them you dont know if it is 32 or 64 bit uefi until you
see grub ...
Pledging to please keep 32 bit uefi in tails, and please have some tails
statement so at least we can know if were end-of-life. thanks.

There is such a statement already:
https://tails.boum.org/news/Tails_3.0_will_require_a_64-bit_processor
However, as I said, I was not aware that there are actually computers
out there having UEFI in 32bit and a 64bit processor.
Apparently this is problematic for all kinds of Linuxes and even some
Windows installations are simply 32bit because of that.
I'll post the question on our bugtracker for further details.
It might be useful if you can tell us the brand name and model of the
conmputer where this is the setup.
Cheers!
u.
