to my knowledge only debian and as such tails offer support for 32 bit uefi on
64 bit processors. mint or any ubuntu flavor does not support recent cheap
laptops/netbooks.
I have several machines not booting ubuntu live cds becauese of this.

Hello to all team,
I read in webpage problems starting Tails from USB devices. This
problem can be solved in easy way.
Tails and others (Kali) are Debian based. Debian linux can be started
as Live-OS, but it haves the same problem with USB devices.
Starting Debian from USB devices only runs fine if all DVD folders are
copied to USB device. But I don't do this since many years. I got
the same error trying to load Tails, Kali & Debian from computer hard
disk as Live-OS. Trying to load .Iso image from hard disk does not
run.
The solve is next:
Change Tails base to Mint Linux (Ubuntu based) or Ubuntu Linux. There
is not any problem loading Mint & Ubuntu Linux from Live-HDD and
Live-USB.
Yes, Ubuntu is Debian Based, but Ubuntu comes with better base to
loading it, and haves better and easy mode to save live changes in
configuration.
I suggest you this solve.
I have some Linux releases, and load .Iso image always as Live-HDD
from computer hard disk. Test this and make change to Tails. :-)
Best,
Alejandro Padrino.
