Somehow my answer seems to have got lost.

Anyway I believe the areas shouldn't really be to big. Maximum perhaps
city size. I added a strip up the coast from Sydney to Newcastle
(Newcastle itself hasn't been processed yet) and I believe that is
probably too large.

The other thing that has to be tweaked is the size of the work tiles, I
was using "level 13" but 14 is probably better if you want the mappers
to be able to complete the tile in a reasonable time frame.
