I will follow up with translink and confirm licencing. G. On Wednesday, 13 January 2016 6:12 AM, David Findlay <davidjwfind...@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi, I think that would be the ideal if the licensing could be sorted out. I've noted some other bus stops have a Translink ID and links to the Translink page for that stop. Would the data have shelter info? Is it possible to integrate the real time transit feed into OSM's main slippy map? I can prepare it technically but I cant see exactly how the data is licenced (http://translink.com.au/about-translink/open-data/terms-and-conditions) but is seems to be some sort of CC BY. Happy to follow up directly with Translink if need be? Cheers G. Also need to add a source tag such as source=survey In regard to name of stop, I’m not from Brisbane so I don’t know the local practice. If the name of the stop is signposted at the stop then it is OK to use it. However if the name has been copied from another source, you need to ascerain if it can be copied. In some places, timetables and.maps are copyright and cannot be copied without permission. Frustrating. Hope this helps. As per instructions I've found so far, I've made single nodes beside the highway at the bus stop location, with name set to the name as Translink quotes it. So: highway=bus_stop name=Gayundah Esplanade near Georgina Street for instance. Would this be consistent with the standard?
