Dear all, Hope you all are well. Thanks for your continuous concern and apology for keeping you waiting. Actually, we are getting prepared for the SOTMA 2019 event, amidst all our own busy life it is one of our main concern. We had several team meeting internally regarding the event permission, venue options, accommodation, the security of foreign participants, logistics etc. Though we wanted to deploy the website along with the registration, call for proposal, scholarship application by 15th of June but we didn't have the credentials to push it live and had to wait for the approval until 23rd of July.
At last, we have our website pushed live! Thanks to Manning, Erwin, Taichi and the team for the efforts. With the website going live we are now pushing the social media promotion. The timeline got constrained as the website going late, still, we are confident to pull the event up with all your support as our expectations. The Updates till now at a glance: - Website <https://stateofthemap.asia> is now live. - Social media communication (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) pushed forward. - Call for Proposal <https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/SotM_Asia_2019_Call_for_Proposal> is now open (Deadline 15th August). - Call for Scholarship <https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/SotM_Asia_2019_Call_for_Proposal> is now Open (Deadline 15th August) - Logo Competition <https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/SotM_Asia_2019/Logo_Contest> is open (Deadline 7th August) - Venue related communication is going on. - Local Potential Sponsors communication is going on. Let's have a meeting soon regarding the event organizing and make it a successful one like previous. What about next Saturday, 27th July at 10 AM (Dhaka time). Please confirm your availability or suggest a suitable one. I request you promote the social media posts as we have a short deadline. Thanks for your support.
