Original question: foot doesn't appear to be depreciated, so no need
to change the wiki for that reason.

However, I share your opinion that 'hiking' would be better than
'foot' for hiking routes, certainly for the long distance hiking
routes. The description on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiking uses
the word also for short walks, so I would see no problem in using it
also for the short routes.

So, two argument to change it to hiking in the Belgian wiki:
- It is a spot-on description of the activity for which the routes are
intended. (According to the aforementioned wiki page "walking outdoors
on a trail for recreational purposes").
- It is more widely used and would put us in line with the international wiki.

If we reach a consensus on the list, we can change it in the Belgian
wiki, but before that happens (if it ever happens), please use the
'foot' convention.
