It would be very interesting to also get their datasets concerning fire_hydrants, water sources and all other relevant info needed for the job, OSM has got established keys for that. That would really lift up the usefulness.

I've micromapped those before and it's very difficult to find their specs (diameter, type, ref and such) if you're not into the firefighting scene.

As for routing purposes, I would suggest looking at pgrouting code , very performant https://github.com/pgRouting/pgrouting. <https://github.com/pgRouting/pgrouting>

Het zou inderdaad handig zijn om dit nog meer open te trekken naar brandkranen en ander waterbronnen. Ze zouden deze informatie kunnen combineren voor nog efficienter tewerk te gaan. Ik heb al een paar keer dit soort dingen gemicromapped maar het vinden van accurate informatie was heel moeilijk (zelfs met foto van de ref. plaatjes ter plekke). Als je als leek in die wereld begeeft extra moeilijk.

Als ze dat soort data zouden willen toevoegen in OSM, zou fantastisch zijn kwa mogelijkheden naderhand.
