Hopefully your son is OK.

There was some discussion the past few days on "Pass at your own risk" on
the tagging mailing list.
No real conclusion. Some say it  is always at your own risk.

You could look at the proposed tag: hazard
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/hazard

But even more appropriate would be
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE:Key:sac_scale
(sac_scale=mountain_hiking ?)
