Loosely, I believe that it is more important to get the data placed into the database than worry about complex schema ;-) 'highway=bus_stop' nodes placed along side the road with 'ref' and 'bus_routes' tags transcribed from sign (http://www.flickr.com/photos/24244...@n03/3637197005).
