We do have a blanket attribution for data published under the OGL-BC in the "Contributors" page on the OSM Wiki. And on this page, <https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/OGL_Canada_and_local_variants>, it says the LWG has evaluated version 2.0 of the OGL-BC and found it to be compatible with OSM.

But is it compatible with OSM? Some open data licences are more open than others.I think there is a wiki entry somewhere that lists the acceptable Canadian open data licences. The federal one certainly is and I think it took a year or two to get Toronto's approved. It would be nice if they used the same licence.Cheerio JohnOn Tue, Oct 15, 2024, 02:40 David E. And the address data it uses comes from the BC Assessment Authority, not the ICIS. So that might bode a bit better.- David E. I discovered the Integrated Cadastral Information Society is the aggregator for next Gen 911 address data in BC. Unfortunately, ICIS is arms length from the provincial government and may not be covered by the province's open data policy. Furthermore, I was told by the head of ICIS that their address point data would not be released as open data.I am not certain how this info relates to the links provided in this thread. But it does not bode well.Bernie.On Mon, Oct 14, 2024, 6:58 p.m. David E. It gives access to a dataset containing what I believe is every single street address in the province of British Columbia. The same dataset also appears to be accessible at this link, <https://openmaps.gov.bc.ca/kml/geocoder/BCGov_Physical_Address_Viewer_Loader.kml>. However, it is not clear whether this specific dataset has been properly licenced for use by OpenStreetMap. If not, can OSM open a discussion with the province with a view to getting this dataset under the correct licence so we can start making proper use of it?_______________________________________________- David E.
