Obama had a special connection to Maytag: Lester Crown, one of the company's directors and biggest investors whose family, records show, has raised tens of thousands of dollars for Obama's campaigns since 2003. Es kann ja durchaus sein, dass eine Bahnstrecke später als Radweg neueröffnet wird, d.h. das railway-Tag verschwindet, und ein highway-Tag kommt neu hinzu. Der Weg ist also in der Summe beides - nur nicht zur gleichen Zeit. Nein, in der jetzigen technischen Situation ist OSM nicht dafür geeignet, historische Entwicklungen aufzeichnen zu können. Das Ziel muß sein, zu jedem Tag auch noch einen Datumsbereich der Gültigkeit angeben zu können. Dann wäre klar, dass "railway=rail" von 1888-09-09 bis 1959-10-10 gilt, und "highway=cycleway" von 2002-11-22 bis heute. Und alle weiteren beschreibenden Tags wie "name", "ref", "ncn" etc. ebenso.
