Normally, JOSM bugs have no real impact on data in the OSM db, but only
to the person editing. This time there was false data being uploaded.
That's a different issue altogether, and a lot more serious. These
affected versions could have been blocked a lot sooner.

Well, such big bugs happen so seldom, that no fast communication interface is established and also the impact of this bug was not as clear in the beginning. From my point of view it was so obvious going wrong that I never would have thought somebody would really press upload when such "shit" happens. So this reaction was fast from my point of view.

Well having 8 pages in webbrowser for bug reports of last 3 days really means I introduced trouble. But I think it was worth the work nevertheless as josm now has made a break which was necessary for future developments.
