Je me pose des questions sur la licence de leur carte, car il semble que leur logiciel (juste le client faut pas déconner non plus) est open source. Sur leur site, je trouve (en espérant ne pas avoir enfrein le code de la propriété intellectuelle en ayant recopié et diffusé des infos dont je ne suis pas l'auteur, ni de dispose des droits) : Does waze have open-source elements? Yes. Map data is already available (on the client) and can be used for non-commercial purposes. Developers can contact us to receive access to our real-time APIs.[...] J'ai l'impression que l'on a le droit d'utiliser leur carte uniquement avec leur client. Why doesn't waze work with OpenStreetMaps? Waze has the technology to create dynamic maps from consumer driving relatively quickly. This is how we created the map in Israel, but when we planned on making our app available on the US market, we decided to use an existing map as a base, rather than start the map building from scratch, and considered various map providers including OSM and TIGER. We are committed to keeping waze free for our end users who help build the system, yet we're a commercial company who's looking to generate revenue down the line. When looking at the OSM licensing terms, we felt that they might limit us from certain business models in the future, and, therefore, we decided to use TIGER maps. This may change in the future, however, and we are open to potential cooperation with OSM, and other, similar, services. J'aime bcp ce paragraphe, la licence des carte OSM empêcherait à waze certaines exploitations ? J'avais compris qu'elel permettait plutot bcp d'exploitation, mais que c'est plutot qu'elle obligeait à transmettre cette liberté plutot que de restreinde l'usge. Y'a til des lien entre waze et OSM comme semble le suggérer la ernière phrase ?
