For example, someone has written a tool that uses traces to verify the 
output of a routing engine (driver obviously went from A to B via route 
X, routing engine suggested something different - why?), and others are 
working on automatically guessing turn restrictions and maxspeeds from 
tracks. These uses always have a statistical component to them (the 
individual driver might have been slow because he was watching something 
or talking on his phone, the individual driver may have taken a wrong 
turn somewhere), i.e. you need many to make sense.
