I didn't look very hard but I also haven't seen anything more recent. The video does say it's beta at this stage launching early 2015. It's still very impressive even now. I looked into image recognition a year ago so have a basic understanding of how complex the matter is. It's pretty amazing that Telenav are willing to do the processing and release the data to OSM :-)
