We've discussed wikidat on this list before. Mapbox now include it in their geocoder results (probably direct from Wikidata rather than the tag in OSM).
They've developed a simple map to show what is possible: https://www.mapbox.com/blog/geocoding-wikidata/ Hopefully with time we can get something similar based on the wikidata tags in OSM. *Rob*
