I have updated the wiki
<https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Bing_Maps#Bing_Aerial_Imagery> with
some relevant information. The Ts&Cs probably need some checking between
LWG & Microsoft for clarification of actual intent. For now I think it is
best to not use it for adding new POIs, but to follow the terms and only
use for corroboration of surveys (e.g., shops which have gone).

It's simple to see coverage select Streetside in the imagery layer and it
shows areas with a light blue overlay (you may need Silverlight, and you
need to be zoomed out enough to include an area which is covered).. UK
cities with coverage:

   - Birmingham, Coventry & most of West Midlands
   - London (to M25)
   - Manchester (seems to be from around 2011).
   - Bristol
   - Edinburgh
   - Glasgow
   - Liverpool & the Wirral
   - Bournemouth
   - Cardiff

Elsewhere in Europe:

   - France: Paris, Metz, Nancy, Mulhouse, Lyon, Grenoble, Marseilles,
Avignon, Nimes, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Niice with Cannes. Some motorways.
   - Spain: Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Malaga. Some motorways.
   - Italy: none
   - DACH: none
   - Benelux: none
   - Rest of Europe: none
