I'll be interested to see how this discussion goes.

I must say that, as a user of the two stations mentioned, I am *not* stuck by 
how 'separate' the different sections are.   I think they feel like single 
stations, albeit with different branding in some sections. Given that you can 
get from any point in the station to any other point without leaving (right?) 
I'd say they are both single stations with different services offered. 

That's a personal opinion, based on how it feels to use the station as a 
passenger, not based on how the stations are operated by TfL/NR, or how they 
are regulated and ticketed.
