Hi Mike, I'm pretty sure that almost all Filipino contributors would be amenable to adopting the new license. Many just want to create maps and don't really care about the license (as long as they can use it themselves); some even contribute to Google Map Maker which has definitely a vastly different license. As for the rest, the share-alike provision is the really important part.
Personally, I'm waiting on the issue regarding whether the share-alike provision triggers for internal interim databases. I prefer that internal interim databases used to create Produced Works be also released under the ODbL, but I won't object if the community says that it's ok if these remain internal and unreleased. As for whether Produced Works should be share-alike also, I very much prefer that these only require attribution to the Database only. I very much agree that it's the data that matters, not the end product.
