Hi everyone,
HOT Ph is activating in preparation for the incoming Typhoon Kamurri/Tisoy
at the request of the Philippines Red Cross and in coordination with the
Office of Civil Defense. We have begun by creating a task for the mapping
of Catuandes (https://tasks.hotosm.org/project/7384), which is where
landfall is currently predicted with winds of 200-240km/hr. According to
Thinking Machines' ML/AI data the province has only 14% of its buildings
mapped. The HOT Ph Team requests your assisting in mapping the roads and
buildings in the area. Additional tasks are likely to follow early next
week once we have reports of damage or casualties.

Note that this storm is currently predicted to hit Metro Manila on Tuesday
at midnight, so please prepare and stay safe if you live here. SEA Games
venues are likely to be affected. You can follow the storm at
www.typhoon2000.ph and at
http://bagong.pagasa.dost.gov.ph/tropical-cyclone/tropical-cyclone-advisory/.
Once the storm makes landfall you can follow NDRRMC (
http://www.ndrrmc.gov.ph/) and PRC (https://www.facebook.com/phredcross/)
for additional details.

Wiki to be setup shortly.

HOT Ph and HOT Indonesia are on standby to support. Please let us know if
you are able to organize a mapathon and we'll cover food.
