I took a peek at this a while back and came to the conclusion that it wasn't
as useful as tiling the seamless server because a) it has older data and b)
is harder to work with.

But it's there, so there's no harm in using it. I think it'd probably make
more sense to use a tilecache/stache plugin than to grab each "tiled
GeoTIFF" and run gdal2tiles on it. I can take a peek at it later tonight if
no one else does.
