Who runs the service that serves the USGS Topo Map tiles? The address is tile.openstreetmap.us...
I reported a JOSM issue: https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/12562 But the behavior may in part be due to the tile server (see the comment in the ticket). Thanks in advance for your help, Mike
