According to some traffic on IRC, there is currently some delay in replication between the master and slave databases. Since reads are served from the slaves, this can lead to this kind of inconsistency. The reason is still unknown. It will probably be a couple of hours before it gets fixed. But uploads go straight to the master database so your edits *have* been saved.
