Hi all,

So, the other day I needed to get an SG drawing from my local municipality. The borough suggested that I try looking at the chief surveyor's website.

And that is where I found this:

http://csgmapguide.ruraldevelopment.gov.za/mapguide2011/mapviewerjava/ajaxviewer.jsp?WEBLAYOUT=Library%3a%2f%2fSouth+Africa+-+Geospatial%2fmap%2fSouth+Africa+Cadastral+Set.WebLayout&LOCALE=en

Would this be useful data to try and get into OSM? I am happy to approach them, unless someone else feels like taking the lead. I see that they want to charge for the data though, so not sure how receptive they would be. Having farm boundaries could potentially be useful. Certainly having urban erven is a major attraction for me.

Has anyone approached them in the past?
