Subject: [talkbws] Decrypting Script using PGP
Hello group! This is a spin off a question from a post last week. Has anyone
built a script in BW to decrypt a document using PGP? Currently I have to
logon to a web server with a specific login unique to the PGP software, decrypt
the file using a DOS prompt and then place the file where it can be used. Any
help is greatly appreciated.Thanks.Sherry

I would suggest PGP encrypting the files before emailing them....

You don't need to get too complex (Private/Public Key's) and should be able to
just make a 'secure archive', which is just a PGP level password encryption.
The file will most likely be just filename.txt.pgp. Then just call them over
the phone to tell them the password....

Auto forwarded by a Rule This would be a violation of HIPPA. Vendors are
always trying to get us to send them unencrypted data. On many FTP sites I use
GPG encryption before FTPing the file(s). We also do a few SFTP and FTPS.

Subject: Email Encryption/Transport of PHI
Auto forwarded by a Rule Hi everyone, One of the hospitals that I work for
wants me to download their clinic schedules and then email them to their remote
transcriptionist as an attachment. I know HOW to do this, but is it
safe*doesn’t it violate HIPAA I’m transferring personal health info and it’s
not encrypted or password protected? Is there another way to accomplish this?
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks,
