Greetings, Had someone call me a few minutes ago asking me a scary question - well not really but because it is Oct. 31 let's just assume it was.
Here was the question: I want to schedule a script to run on the 2nd of every month. But if the 2nd is a Saturday or Sunday want to run the script on the following Monday. Boo hoo for you oh valued customer? NOT! What you have to think about here is that these are really three separate scheduling events. Run on the 2nd - whenever it isn't a weekend Run on the 3rd - whenever the 3rd is a Monday (because the 2nd is a Sunday) Run on the 4th - whenever the 4th is a Monday (because the 2nd is a Saturday) So to handle this I add the same script to the schedule three times and configure each instance as follows: 1. Schedule Type Monthly - Start Date 11/2/08 - Start time whatever I want - Under Daily tab check off Saturday and Sunday 2. Schedule Type Monthly - Start Date 11/3/08 - Start time whatever I want - Under Daily tab check off every day except Monday 3. Schedule Type Monthly - Start Date 11/4/08 - Start time whatever I want - Under Daily tab check off every day except Monday And voila! The script runs on the 2nd of every month and on the first Monday of the month if the second falls on a weekend. Not that was boooooooo tiful....
