Greetings,
What's the site? Perhaps we've seen it before - either way our support
folks would be able to help here).

When a "hover and click" doesn't work on an menu element, the reason why
is typically very idiosyncratic to the page - meaning the site is doing
something unusual, so it would be next to impossible for me to give you
a generalization here.

I've solved things like this in many different ways including using a
Windows click.

Any chance this is Navinet?

Regards,
Thom

Subject: [talkbws] Web Scripting

I have been working on some web scripting projects to automate the
signing up of users to insurance websites for claims tracking since I
work for a network of hospitals and our users need access to all of them
so signing them up one by one is very tedious.

I have successfully created 3 or 4 scripts now, but there is one payer
site that is causing some issues...

I have been through the tutorials and printed off the desk aids for web
scripting and employed some of the techniques to access certain elements
within the webpage, most of the time it works, but a few others have
been near impossible. I have tried to web click the element, didn't
work. I have tried the 1st Button and Next Element to what I thought was
the element that I wanted, didn't work. Lastly, I tried clicking on an
element that I know that when I click on it, it will be selected and
then Next Element until I got to the one that I wanted, didn't work. For
whatever reason anytime this element is selected, it doesn't allow BWS
to select it and bounces it to another, unwanted element.

Has anyone experienced this and have another technique for circumventing
this issue. I have been trying to work on ODS, but I have this roadblock
to get past.

Thanks for any assistance.
