I use a batch file launched by MS scheduler to check for the existence of log
files that sends an email if the file is missing. Others are used to verify
there is data in the file and not just an empty file.

Subject: [talkbws] Notification for scripts that fail or do not run

Does anyone have any information they would like to share about how they are
handling notification for scripts that fail or do not run? I am using email
notification when scripts have completed, but the only way to be aware of
failed scripts is if someone realizes that they did not receive an email
notification that the script did run.

TIA
