I forgot to add the processor(s) speed is anywhere from 2.8 to 3.2Ghz for the VM's that I use. I have noticed at least with the 3.2 Ghz and 768MB RAM that it is about 33% quicker with the same script than a 2.2Ghz and 4GB RAM laptop. I also use VMWare (VSphere) which is mostly stable; only issue is sometimes that I have a little trouble logging in to any one of the VM's from time to time.

The applications have no idea if they are on a VM or physical server and they don't care.
