I created a lab dictionary synch quite a while ago that entailed
opening a Live and Test session then reading from each field and writing
to the corresponding field in Test. For example, read field1 in Live,
write to field2 in Live, read field2 in Live, write to field2 in Live...

Since you have a strict deadline I'd start with identifying which parts
of the test dictionary there are most concerned about and limiting the
scope to that prioritized list. If all they are concerned with is the
basic first tab information matching then it is pretty straight forward.
For each record write to a file for Test and Live for comparison. The
other option is use an NPR report instead for the info to compare. Then
just loop through the discrepant records with updates. Where you'll have
difficulty is if you're expected to do all parts of each test simply
because a spreadsheet line isn't a good way of capturing all of the data
in a test record. For example you'd need to know how many component
tests you could possibly have and need a corresponding excel column to
account for it. It is doable but cumbersome.

Subject: [talkbws] LAB TEST

Hi - I have been requested to try and do a dictionary sync for the LAB
TEST dictionary.

I don't support Lab module for MEditech so and totally unfamiliar with
how this dictionary works.

And have been asked to give a time limit in which I could have the sync
completed.

Just wondering if anyone had this sync completed and how difficult it
was to create?

I have been told that there are several different scenarios within this
dictionary.
