Is the issue that the code isn't staying in the Rule's action? (Your
statement that it reverts suggests that)

How exactly are you editing the Rule? You need to use "Edit Action" on
that Rule to assign the code to it.

You should see in the VBA editor when you do this:

Sub Edit_Action()

///your code here///

Subject: [talkbws] Relaunch after process closes

I have been trying to figure out a way to relaunch Meditech once the
t.exe process closes. I built the function(CheckRunning) that checks to
see if the process is running but I'm having trouble setting up a rule
to always run and then open and connect to the Meditech screen again.

This is what I am trying but it does not work:

        If Rule("") Then

            Wait 30

            If Not CheckRunning Then

               Step = "LAUNCH"

            End If

            Exit Sub

        End If

When I save this, it reverts back to:

        If Rule("") Then

            Wait 30

            Step = "LAUNCH"

            Exit Sub

        End If

I think I understand why it reverts back, but I'm not sure what else to
try yet. Is there a built in function in Boston Workstation that will
help me keep the Meditech window open?

Goal:

We have a Meditech ORM Big Board setup. I have the script setup to
launch Meditech and sign directly into the Big Board. The device is
currently wireless and the connection drops often. I am working on
getting it switched over to be hardwired. Every time it drops, Meditech
closes. So I want the script to watch for t.exe to close, ping Meditech
until the computer can see it again(this part is working), and then
launch Meditech and connect to it again.
