Hi Rich I sent Barb an e-mail offering to share some of the things that I learned ( with your help ) on the ProComm Script I developed recently. I can talk her through resolving the Keyboard Mapping, and have some thoughts about the speed depending on the type of connection they are actually using. ProComm has a number of refresh options that she can play with.
I've been finding the ProComm connection to be very stable. We have additional connections that have such emulations including Reflection and Extra!. Procomm usually provides a very good scripting interface, but, as with each of our connections, there are things to do to make it operate just as you want. I could use some more information on the specific problems Barb is having. I use BW a lot with the Misys system scripting in patient info, financial info, updating master files in companies. To use BW with Misys I need to go through ProComm Plus - this has caused some problems with my coding. I was wondering if anyone has a stream to Misys and is bypassing going through Procomm Plus. The misys version that I am on is Misys PM 7.0.1 thanks. Barb Haux Systems Analyst - Misys Avera McKennan Hospital & University ofc. (605)322-6008 fax.
