Vince,

I have seen it on a serial connection with Meditech Remote Workstation - not with a TCPIP connection.  What I do with my unattended script is call a Meditech reset routine at the beginning of each process and if it can’t reset Meditech, I have the script close Meditech and re- sign on.

Subject: [Talk] "Host not responding" Error Message

Hi All,

I have a script that runs daily to register new LAB patients.  On occasion, I receive an error "Host not responding" from the MEDITECH workstation.

The error doesn't occur all of the time... only some of the time.. and not every day.

I've tried slowing the script down to see if it was the speed, but that doesn't seem to correct the problem.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation, and what did you do to correct it.?

Thanks,

Vince Swisher
