We don't post 835s to Meditech, but we post them to HBO Star, InsightCS, and 3 proprietary systems. We post Medicare, Medicare Professional, Commercial, Medicaid, and several individual Health Plans. I can give you some general ideas of what we've done and the pitfalls we've encountered. Call me if you want more info.

Are you currently using the Meditech Interface to load your 835 remittances?

*Subject:* [Talk] 835 Remittance Posting - Meditech and LSS

Given the length of the 835 files and the amount of detail
provided we are attempting to put together a upload of the
information into an Access data base that we can query off of and
do trending, etc.. Does anyone already have a script doing this
and if so would you be willing to share (Meditech, Magic, 4.9)?
Also I would be interested if you have found any “pit falls” with
    your data yet.

Additionally we are looking at posting 835 information more than
just payments and messages, and we are wondering how other
facilities are posting the large volumes of information to assist
in follow up? Once again if you have a script you would be willing
to share I would appreciate it.

We have the 835 parsing, and extracting data loading it to
Meditech through batch routines but want more. I would be
interested in your “hard lessons” learned along with your “We
should have done this in the first place” information. I would
like to not re-invent the wheel if it is not needed.

Thank you!
