Datastation creates a log file called <filename>.xls.bds  In this file are the statuses of each entry.  What you you could do is generate a report from datastation and import this into a spreadsheet.

Depending on how large you spreadsheet is, it could take a while to generate the report file.  I would suggest you be patient while the report is generating.

What I typically do is import my data into an Access Database and write the statuses directly to the database.  This is much easier and if the script needs to start over because of some issue with the screen, you don't have to wait while the script finds the last record you were on before the script stopped.

Subject: [Talk] Writing back to a spreadsheet

I am writing a script pulling in info from a spreadsheet via datastation.  I would like to write a status of done next to each record and have the status show in the spreadsheet.  So far, I can not find a way to do that.  I can see the status while using datastation, but not while viewing the spreadsheet alone.  Anyone have a way of doing what I am trying to do?

Thanks!

Paul
