We're trying the same thing.
I found it was the only way to get around our Regions "policy" of password locked screen savers.  Also it allows multiple Virtual sessions on the same PC, which means that scripts don't overun each other.
About 2 weeks running now, and some minor errors, but overall it sems to work well.

We've been running it on MS Virtual Server for about 9 months - no problems.

Subject: [Talk] Running BWS on a VM?

I have installed BW on a VMware virtual machine (VM) and am curious if this is a “blessed” way of running scripts.  Has anyone had luck running Boston Workstation inside a virtualized operating system?
