Greetings, Yup Shirley is spot on here. The Virtual keyboard is in this case generating the actual VBA command needed to send the specific control key - as opposed to something that can be "sent directly" from the Data Window. So Chr(1) is actually a VBA command
Try using: Key Chr(1) As she is suggesting... Perhaps we should make the Virtual Keyboard "smarter" in this regard! Regards, Thom Thom C. That would cause a problem, I would think. Shirley Hammack I.T. (I'm using Meditech Magic, not sure if that makes a difference) When I do Key "Chr(1)" it just makes a beeping noise 6 times, and never does the right control. I clicked on the keyboard icon and chose Right Ctrl Key under Special Keys to get the code. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with this? I'm using version 9, not sure if this is new with 9 or if this existed in 8 too.
