Greetings,
Yup Shirley is spot on here. The Virtual keyboard is in this case generating
the actual VBA command needed to send the specific control key - as opposed to
something that can be "sent directly" from the Data Window.
So Chr(1) is actually a VBA command

Try using:
Key Chr(1)
As she is suggesting...

Perhaps we should make the Virtual Keyboard "smarter" in this regard!

Regards,
Thom

Does your key command actually have quotation marks in it? That would cause a
problem, I would think.

Subject: [Talk] Using Right-Ctrl key with Meditech Magic script

Has anyone had success with using the right-control key (Chr(1)) in a
script? (I'm using Meditech Magic, not sure if that makes a difference)
When I do

Key "Chr(1)"

it just makes a beeping noise 6 times, and never does the right control. I
clicked on the keyboard icon and chose Right Ctrl Key under Special Keys to
get the code.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with this? I'm using
version 9, not sure if this is new with 9 or if this existed in 8 too.

Thanks
Kelly
