Thank you to all who responded. I used the input box and it works much better
(thanks Shirley).

Subject: RE: [Talk] User Forms

Greetings,

Can you send me the offending project here - [EMAIL PROTECTED]

UserForms are generally pretty simple - you show them Modal to allow user
input then "when closed - i.e. userform1.hide" script goes on....

Regards,

Thom

You could try and input box instead of a text box. The goes straight into your
variable.

        Hi,

Does it hang up prior to the data being input, or after they click
the OK button?

I want to have a user input information into a user form as the first
step of my script. I can get the form to pop up, but it won't allow me to
input data and hangs up the script (I have to kill the script using the task
manager).

The form is a simple, asking the user for one field of information -
input into a text box, and sending the data to a variable to use later in the
script. There is a button on the form (OK) that the user should click on to
close the form and continue on with the script.

        Any ideas?
