This is typical Aetna, (and others) if you are comparing a to Z I would
recommend a query from a database, we parse all our 835s into a SQL
server by segment, etc. and break on payer  and we tie these together
using primary keys, etc..  If you can get dollars to match considering
the PLB segment then you are doing great! From there it is all query and
reports to match if you will on names, etc. They do follow the most
current x12 standards so I can't fault them there.

This isn't really a BWS question.... 

 

The Aetna 835 file I am loading into Meditech doesn't match the hard
copy they have been sending us. Has anyone else run into this. 

 

I was expecting patients A-Z but those patients are scattered all over
various electronic files.
